The Timber Fronted litter bin has been designed primarily for use in parks and green spaces as its natural, attractive appearance allows the bin to blend into rural surroundings. The bin features a glass fibre composite (GFC) body with either a smooth or textured finish. The textured finish uses PTX textured paint to give a rough finish not too dissimilar to sandpaper and is designed to prevent unwanted graffiti and posters being applied to the bin. The smooth finish uses a smoother pseudo-cast iron finish with only a slight texture and no roughness.
The timber front of the bin is available stained in a choice of light or dark oak and features an integrated galvanised steel liner. The front section of the bin lifts out for easy emptying and is fitted with a budget lock and a Tidyman plate as standard. A handle can be fitted to the front of the bin and this helps make emptying the liner easier.
Only PEFC accredited timber is used in the construction of this bin. This allows the environmental impact of using timber products to be kept at a minimum by only using timber sourced from PEFC accredited sources. PEFC has become the world’s largest forest certification umbrella organisation with over 30 independent natural schemes.
As standard the bin features an open aperture, but other aperture options are available to suit your requirements. Also to keep pesky birds and squirrels out an optional self-closing flap is available (as shown in the main image).
The bin is supplied with a pre-drilled base that allows it to be securely fixed to the ground using RAWL bolts. Alternatively ground anchor feet are available which allow you to site the bin in freshly laid concrete. The feet bolt to the bottom of the bin and once the bin is in place and the concrete has cured, the bin is securely held in position.
